The Story
This Jamaican variety has a flattish, squashed shape and looks a bit like a mushroom. It’s pods are similar to the scotch bonnet, but much bigger, measuring around 5cm long and 3.5 cm wide. The Jamaican Hot yellow is a more compact plant, often reaching a maximum height of 50-70cm. It grows well and produces a high yield of fruit. It’s pods are green and mature to a stunning yellow.
Flavour: A delicious fruity and tropical flavour. Both its flavour and vibrant colour make it a popular chilli to make Caribbean hot sauces and is widely used in Caribbean dishes.
